our strength? more

So
after much deliberation we have chosen the holiday destination, sorted
out the flights, and already we are picturing ourselves languishing
on warm sands with the inviting blue sea stretching before us, and
we just have the minor formality of the holiday travel insurance and
then all the arrangements will be complete. more

Christmas
is over and as is usual at this time of the year we are left with
an expanded waistline and a diminished bank balance. (Wouldn't it
be great if, just for once, the situation was reversed and we could
greet the New Year with a diminished waistline and an expanded bank

I
have just seen the headline in my daily newspaper "Millions can't
get to see their GP". This appears to be the damaging side effect
of the government's aim that patients should be able to see their

of your life. Perhaps like me, you envisaged retirement as
a time to at last indulge yourself with all the hobbies and interests
which had to be pushed into the background during the hectic years
of working and looking after the family, only to discover that retirement
is just as hectic and that it is still a job to fit in hobbies. more
