The Home Improvement Trust - A not for profit organisation working throughout England, Scotland and Wales which helps the older homeowner repair, improve or adapt their homes so that they can continue to live safely and independently.

Houseproud 

One of the products which we have developed in partnership with local authorities is Houseproud .  The local authorities, perhaps through their Home Improvement Agency, undertake the hand holding through the building works process and we offer access to really empathetic, low set up cost equity release for sums from as little as 3000 pounds.

The equity release comes with a guarantee of no repossession and no negative equity.  There are three different repayment methods, which work as a hybrid to react to changes in circumstances for the clients: capital and interest, lifetime no interest and interest roll up. We do not get commission, which means that no pressure will be put on those who come to us to take out equity release - we are pleased to have had the chance to talk over options with our clients and if the net result is that the home remains safer and allows independent living for longer - then that is the result for which we look.
