Climbers plants for pergolas?

Can anyone give me some advice on the best climbers to use on my new pergola?

Also, i know that Jasmine and honeysuckle are good one's. Clematis seems to grow too quickly i think. Hope that helps?

Our Wisteria looks lovely mid spring and Hydrangea is a good choice for North facing. My wife’s favourite is an old english yellow climbing rose called Graham Thomas. They are wonderfully fragrant and have large flowers and grow throughout the summer if you keep removing the dead heads.

You can go for low maintenance vines or climbers like money plant...

Dont over do it as it will look like a jungle.. Complement it with some potted house plants and see that it doesnt filter the sunlight or light coming into your room

This is good advice, but does anyone know if there is a climber that flowers in the colder months?
