Forcing older workers to retire cost the UK last year an estimated £3.5 billion in lost economic output‚ new figures by Age UK reveal ahead of tomorrow night’s TV showdown among party leaders on the economy.

Can someone explain what 'forced retirement' is?

Is it finishing work at 65 as agreed when these people signed their contract of employment many years ago?

If Age UK had these statistics printed on toilet paper, they may be able to recoup some of the donated monies, used to finance these surveys, by selling them at their fund raising events.

People would also have an opportunity to read them all, uninterupted!

Hi everybody,

Here is another report which contradicts the first one.

http://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/nearly ... 920f8.html

The thing what we have to decide is which one is correct! One of them?
Both of them?, or none of them!

Or is it just clever manipulation of statistics - again???

Click on the link and judge for yourself.
