How about a 'poo' bag holder/pocket attached to the plastic handle of retractable dog leads!!

What about a poo bag' that can be attached straight to a dogs' harness - a bit similar to what horses used to have. A nose bag for the 'other' end!

What about a "sunshine" hologram for the window on a rainy day.

Park and ride for shopping retail parks

At the weekend I was visiting a few close nit shopping retail parks for the likes of kitchens, tiles, flooring, general diy and housewares, and could not believe the amount of space in these parks allocated for parking!

Surely it would make sense to have one main carpark with a kind of hop on/off type electric mini train connecting system between all the outlets. also the seating to have storage facilities to hold your purchases whilst travelling to and from the shops.

This service would then free up all those car parks to house more shops and services, as well as reducing the lease rates of the businesses which in turn can pass on savings to the customers.

The retailers are already paying for you to park. This idea wouldn't reduce parking, it would only re-locate it - and the train would have to be paid for, thus increasing retail prices.

Next - think about sitting on a mini-train, with six boxes of tiles, cement and grout in the pouring rain. Then riding round a gigantic car park, trying to find your car. Add a couple of screaming, hungry kids to this scenario - then phone the Samaritans!

The idea is not to reduce parking but re-locate it in one area for all, thus reducing the amount of unused spaces that all the retailers have by leasing all their own car parks. These freed up spaces would allow more retailers to be sited on a park.

I am aware that they are already paying for you to park, but this cost of their own car park would be less than the overall shared cost between all the retailers on the park paying for one car park and the mini train.

Retailers selling heavy. bulkier goods could be sited nearest the car park anyway so still have a trolley system.

The point of screaming kids would actually be smiling kids looking forward to a train ride.

Flood protection solution.

Waterproofing of homes will prove to be too expensive and ineffective. The best cost effective solution is a removable flood barrier around the perimeters on the homes and buildings.
The pavements could be utilised for this purpose. At the front of the pavement a trench could be dugout and flood pipes laid, or a type of French drain method used. Then pylon holes drilled out around 125mm diameter and lined every 1800mm. In the event of an imminent flood, removable flood barriers are slotted into place along the pavement, which are held in place by long poles that drop into the pre drilled holes.
