Older people looking to lose weight should drink two cups of water before each meal, according to a new study.

Researchers in the US decided to test the belief that drinking water can help people feel full.

They found that people can shed an average of 5lb (2.3kg) extra if they drink two cups of water before breakfast, dinner and their evening meal.
